Miss + Mister Deaf Universe South Africa is a global platform that celebrates Deaf talent, promotes social inclusion, and challenges the barriers faced by Deaf and hard-of-hearing individuals. Rooted in the principles of the United Nations Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities, the event raises awareness about equal participation, dignity, and the rights of people with disabilities, while highlighting the richness of Deaf culture and sign language.
